Privacy Policy

Your privacy, in plain language.

oxalpha.org is designed to be used without an account and without handing over personal data. This policy explains what is — and isn't — collected when you use the site.

Last updated: August 2026

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, emails or payment details to use the chat.

  • No sign-up or login
  • No payment information
  • No profile or personal identifiers

Your conversations

We do not store your conversations on our servers. Chat history is kept locally in your browser so you can pick up where you left off, and you can clear it at any time by starting a new chat.

To generate responses, your prompts are sent to the upstream model API (via OpenRouter) and processed by a third-party provider, whose handling of that data is governed by their own policies.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic — for example, how many people visit and which pages are popular. This may set cookies and collect standard technical data such as approximate region, device and browser.

We do not use analytics to identify you personally, and we don't sell any data.

Third-party services

The site relies on a few third parties to function:

  • OpenRouter and the upstream model provider — to process prompts and return responses.
  • Google Analytics — for anonymous, aggregate usage statistics.

Data retention

Because we don't store conversations server-side, there's nothing for us to retain. Locally-stored chat history lives only in your browser until you clear it.

Your choices

You can clear local chat history at any time, block cookies in your browser, or use browser privacy tools to opt out of analytics. None of this affects your ability to use the chat.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
